JUST IN: Abure Re-elected as LP National Chair

Reports coming have it that the embattled Labour Party National Chairman Julius Abure has been re-elected as the National Chairman of the Labour Party for a second term, with unanimous support from delegates.

The Chairman of the National Convention and Deputy Governor of Abia State, Mr Ikechukwu Emetu, announced the winner at the party’s national convention in Nnewi, Anambra State, on Wednesday 27 March.

Abure has been engaged in a heated tussle with the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress, headed by Joe Ajaero.
