Jude Bellingham hails Carlos Ancelloti for his goal-scoring prowess

Real Madrid announce the signing of Jude Bellingham from Dortmund

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has showered encomium on Carlos Ancelloti for his new role and scoring prowess since joining the club during the summer.

During an exclusive interview with Real Madrid TV, the English midfielder explained how his playing a different role has helped step up his game. Jude said while at Dortmund he played deep, but he has been given the freedom to move upfront and everywhere on the pitch.

“My role has changed since I came to this club. At Dortmund, I scored quite a few goals, but I played further back. It was more difficult to score. Now I play with the best in the world and more like a ’10’ and close to the area. I have the freedom to move anywhere on the field and I like to be able to step into the area, be creative, shoot at goal, create and score goals. All this is thanks to the coach and my teammates. I have to do my job using my qualities and help the team, but they are the ones who deserve the praise.”

Jude, who joined Los Blancos during the summer, is La Liga top scorer with 14 goals—tying up on the same goals with Girona’s Dovbyk, and Getafe’s Mayoral.

The 20 year old midfielder is Madrid’s top scorer with 18 goals and 8 assists from 26 caps in all tournaments this season. He joined Madrid for a record deal of €103m.
