Jeff Bezos Sells Amazon Shares Worth $2 Billion

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has sold 12 million shares of the company, totaling over $2 billion in his first stock sale since 2021.
Bezos is planning to sell up to 50 million more shares in the next year, taking advantage of Amazon’s recent stock surge.
With a fortune of $199.5 billion, Bezos gained $22.6 billion in 2023, edging closer to becoming the world’s richest person.
Despite selling over $30 billion in Amazon shares since 2002, Bezos has remained dedicated to stock philanthropy, exemplified by a $230 million donation in November.
This divestment aligns with Bezos’ wealth management strategy and supports his philanthropic initiatives, including the Bezos Earth Fund and the Day 1 Families Fund.
Despite stepping down as Amazon’s CEO, Bezos has continued to play a crucial role in the company and pursues ventures such as Blue Origin, his aerospace company.
Bezos’ diverse approach underscores his commitment to strategic financial planning and impactful philanthropy in his post-Amazon endeavors.
