JAMB

JAMB has officially declared the commencement of registration for the 2024/2025 Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

The registration period starts today and will run until February 24, 2024.

The board accredited 747 CBT centers for the 2024 UTME, indicating an increase of 134 centers compared to the 2023 figure. While Lagos leads with 80 accredited centers, Ogun follows with 44, and Oyo with 42. Zamfara has the fewest accredited centers at 6. The South-West geopolitical zone has the highest number of CBT centers (226), while the North-East has the lowest (67). The accreditation exercise will involve key stakeholders such as Chief External Examiners, Technical Advisors, JAMB state coordinators, and JAMB Technical Officers.

Registration Process:

The registration process involves creating a profile using the National Identity Number (NIN) at various Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers nationwide.

Candidates can use JAMB USS codes 55019 or 66019 to generate their profiles. Only one sort code is allowed to avoid multiple charges. The registration fee is N3,500, and payments will be cashless to prevent extortion.

Registration for Direct Entry (DE):

The registration process for UTME candidates precedes that of Direct Entry (DE) candidates. The sale of DE application documents and E-PIN vending will begin on February 28 and close on March 28, 2024.

The DE fee for the 2024/2025 session is N3,500, with additional charges for CBT center registration service, mock/UTME, and bank charges.

Payment Methods:

Payment methods for registration include bank payment, online payment using ATM cards or USSD codes, and POS payment at accredited CBT centers or JAMB offices.

Requirements for Registration:

Candidates must have a National Identification Number (NIN) and follow specific steps to create a JAMB profile, obtain an e-PIN, and complete the registration process.

Additional Information for DE Applicants:

DE applicants must be aware of specific details, including the recognition of twelve qualifications/certificates by JAMB and the availability of an upgrade from UTME to DE for certain cases.
