Jackson’s Lone Goal Against Everton Squeezes Chelsea Into the Top Four

Chelsea have returned to the top four as the race for UEFA Champions League qualification reaches its climax.

Chelsea secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Everton at Stamford Bridge this afternoon during the League’s 34th matchday of the season.

Nicolas Jackson, who recently returned to action for Chelsea after being sidelined for a while due to injury, scored in the 27th minute. A superb assist from Enzo Fernández set up Jackson’s goal, which proved enough for Chelsea, despite Everton posing a considerable threat and playing more defensively.

Chelsea squeezed into the top four, dropping Newcastle United — who have the same number of points (60) — to fifth place based on goal difference. However, Nottingham Forest could displace the Blues if they win their game in hand.
