It’s Time to Ditch Old Warts for New Charts

Cartographer, is it not time to pull to pieces centuries of unrepresentative,

colonial-era mapmaking? For the huge push, Togo was our representative.

Togo spearheaded. Togo set the tone. “A fair world begins with a fair map.”

Togo’s Robert Dussey stated. Was colonial-era cartography not a mishap?

The old map misled us that Greenland and Africa were roughly the same size.

Yet the truth says Africa is 14 times larger than Greenland. New map’s eyes!

Countries, colleges, tech firms, it’s time to update digital and physical charts.

The UN resolution is non-binding, yet the Mercator maps look like lousy warts!
