Nigerian music star Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, popularly known as Jaywon, has bared his mind concerning artists who insist that no one paved the way for them.
The singer and songwriter who appeared on the Teju Babyface podcast where he specifically spoke about Burna Boy, was quoted as saying; “Burna is talented, everything, but when it comes to that attitude, it’s like Burna saying ‘nobody paved the way for me’. How can you say that? It’s a very wrong thing to say. You don’t understand. It’s madness. Because that means you’re saying from when you were little till now, no one has inspired you”.
The 37-year-old took to X and Instagram to write: “It’s not going to take anything from you to give a shoutout to those that came before you…. It won’t stop your greatness. If you know you know!”
Jaywon ‘s interview is coming days after Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck and award-winning singer Burna Boy said revealed that on their way to stardom, no one paved the way for them.
