A viral video of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, grappling to pronounce the figure for the state’s 2025 budget has set tongues wagging on social media.
The governor was at the state House of Assembly on Tuesday December 10 and presented an estimated N605 billion for the 2025 fiscal year at the Edo State House of Assembly.
The budget, titled “Budget of Renewed Hope for a Rising Edo,” reflects a 25 percent increase over the 2024 budget.
While presenting the Appropriation Bill, the governor conspicuously goofed as he struggled to pronounce the N605 billion mark.
While battling to get the numbers right, the governor said; ”It’s confusing me,” as he laughed.
