Political commentator and businessman Isaac Fayose has intensified his criticism of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, urging residents to vote against the governor in the next election as political conversations in the state continue to gather momentum.
The News Chronicle reports that Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, made the remarks in a social media post in which he expressed strong dissatisfaction with the current administration. He alleged that many residents are facing difficult living conditions and argued that the state needs a new political direction.
Saying the conditions in Ekiti were unacceptable, Fayose exhorted voters to support what he called Operation Kick BAO Out, a slogan aimed at unseating Governor Oyebanji at the ballot box. Online reactions to his comments have now sparked debates among supporters and opponents on the condition of the state government’s performance.
The outspoken critic insisted that the upcoming election would enable residents to choose the direction of the state. Still, Governor Oyebanji’s administration continues to highlight its successes in infrastructure development, governance, and public service delivery.
With political activity accelerating, attention is expected to remain on the ongoing debate over Ekiti’s leadership heading into the next election cycle.
