Liverpool head coach, Andoni Iraola has stressed the importance of collective team performance in helping Florian Wirtz and Bradley Barcola deliver their best, insisting that individual players should not bear the entire responsibility for a team’s success.
The coach said the most effective way to support the two attacking talents was to build a strong team structure that would allow every player to contribute effectively.
“The best way we is with a collective performance”
Iraola acknowledged that individual displays would naturally fluctuate, explaining that players could enjoy impressive spells at certain times and struggle for consistency at others.

He also noted that goals and statistical contributions would not always reflect a player’s overall performance, suggesting that footballers should not be judged solely by their numbers.
“They will sometimes have better performances, sometimes worse performances. They will score goals and make the numbers or not make the numbers”.
The coach emphasised that his primary concern was not the performance of one individual but the team’s ability to function as a cohesive unit and deliver results collectively.
“My biggest worry is not just one player or the other, it is to as a team”
Iraola’s remarks underline his belief that a well-organised team environment is essential for maximising individual talent, with collective effectiveness taking precedence over personal statistics.
His comments also highlight the importance of teamwork in ensuring that gifted attackers such as Wirtz and Barcola can make meaningful contributions without carrying the burden of delivering outstanding performances in every game.
