The Taraba State Commissioner for Social Justice, Dr. Filister Irarimam Musa has commended Governor Agbu Kefas for the protection of the most vulnerable in society.
She stated this in a statement issued to Journalists in Jalingo to mark the International Social Justice Day.
The statement reads in parts, “I extend warm greetings to the people of Taraba State, development partners, civil society organizations, and all stakeholders on the observance of the International Day of Social Justice.
She said that the global day underscores the truth that social justice is not merely a slogan, but a deliberate commitment to fairness, inclusion, equity, and the protection of human dignity.
“In Taraba State, social justice remains a core pillar of governance and sustainable development.
“The Ministry of Social Justice aligns fully with the vision and development agenda of His Excellency, Dr Agbu Kefas, which prioritizes people-centered governance, inclusive growth, equity, and the protection of the most vulnerable in society.
According to her, the administration’s commitment to justice-driven reforms continues to strengthen social cohesion, promote equal opportunities, and restore public confidence in governance.
“In furtherance of this agenda, the Ministry continues to collaborate with strategic partners at national and international levels, including the International Human Rights Organization (IHRO), to advance human rights, social inclusion, and institutional accountability.
“These collaborations complement the Taraba State Government’s resolve to entrench justice as a lived reality for all citizens.
The Commissioner also acknowledges initiatives that recognize excellence and integrity in the service of social justice, noting that such recognition aligns with the broader vision of the Taraba State Government to motivate dedication, professionalism, and ethical leadership.
“As we commemorate this year’s International Day of Social Justice, the Taraba State Government, under the leadership of Dr. Agbu Kefas, reaffirms its unwavering commitment to policies and partnerships that uphold justice, protect human rights, and guarantee dignity for every resident of the state – she said.
“Let this day renew our collective resolve to build a Taraba State where justice is not only promised, but practiced,” she concluded.
