INEC Chairman dismisses rumours of manual transmission of results for Kogi, Imo, Bayelsa Gov polls

  Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmood Yakubu has denied rumours that results of the November 11 off circle elections will be transmitted manually.

Reacting to the unfounded claims quoting the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Bayelsa State, the INEC Boss said results of the elections will be transmitted in accordance with the laws.

He also said that accreditation for the election will be done using the BVAS machine before and after voting, confirming it will be used to snap and upload the results in the INEC Election Result Viewing portal.

In his words: “Please disregard whatever anyone has said about the transmission of results”.

Yakubu also announced that all non sensitive materials for the off circle elections in Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa States have been delivered to the various local government areas.
