Inactive Google Accounts To Be Deleted Next Month

—

Google has made a change to its rules.
If you don’t use your personal Google Account for 2 years, it will be deleted in December 2023.
This includes Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet, Calendar, and Google Photos, but not organizational accounts.
Google is doing this for security reasons, as inactive accounts are more likely to be hacked.
Abandoned accounts are also less likely to have extra security measures.
The deletion will happen in stages, starting with accounts that were created but never used.
Google will send notifications before deleting an account, both to the unused account and the recovery email provided.
To keep your Google Account safe, make sure to sign in at least once every two years.
