I’m Out Of Politics- Abdullahi Adamu

Audit Report Nailed APC Chairman

Immediate past chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu has revealed his intentions to quit the political scene.

The former governor of Nasarawa State made this revelation while speaking at a book launch entitled; Progressive Governance, Showcasing Achievements of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State 2019, written by Abdullahi Tanimu.

Adamu stated that he was starting to develop allergies for political activities adding that the only thing he could say was to urge the people of Nasarawa state to support the Sule led administration in the state.

“I am not only a retiree but I am out of politics. I’m beginning to develop little allergies for political activities now and political speeches. So, forgive me, I will not make any political statement beyond asking for more support for the governor of the state”.

Recall that the APC chieftain had earlier tendered his resignation from the national chairmanship position of the party on July 16th 2023.

A decision many believed to have been born out of the sour relationship between him and other critical members of the party at the national level.

The then-acting national chairman of the APC, Senator Abubakar Kyari, who confirmed Adamu’s resignation, also noted that of the National Secretary of the party, Senator Iyiola Omisore’ resignation.

Senator Abdullahi Adamu was the executive governor of Nasarawa state for two consecutive tenures and has since been rated as one of the key decision makers in the political activities of the state.

With this latest development, many are likely to ask; who now mounts the political saddle in the state?
