I Love Villain Roles But That’s Not Me- Blessing Onwukwe Opens Up on Life Beyond Her ‘Monica’ Character

Veteran Nollywood actress Blessing Onwukwe has revealed that her real-life personality is completely different from the character she portrayed in the trending Nollywood movie, Monica.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The News Chronicle’s Celebrity Connect, the actress described herself as a naturally kind person, insisting that the villainous role she played in the movie does not reflect who she is in reality.

Onwukwe, however, admitted that she enjoys taking on antagonist roles because of their strong ability to deliver powerful messages to viewers.

“I don’t know anybody you can ask if they are wicked and they would say yes. Although some people can brag about being wicked privately, people who have been around me or come in contact with me can tell if I’m actually wicked or not. I don’t think I’m anything close to being wicked,” she said.

The veteran actress further noted that despite her love for playing tough or controversial characters on screen, fans should not mistake her movie roles for her true personality.
