Ice Prince Says He Spent ₦340m on Cannabis From 2020 to 2026

Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has said he spent about ₦340 million on cannabis over a six-year period, a claim that has sparked widespread reaction on social media.

He made the remark during an appearance on the Black Box X Nevon HQ podcast.

According to the rapper, the expenditure covered purchases made between 2020 and 2026, adding that it involved multiple suppliers across different locations.

“Between 2020 and 2026, I have spent ₦340 million on w33d from just one dealer alone, not to even mention my other dealers from Abuja, Ghana, Jos, and London,” he said.

He also said he previously spent around ₦60,000 daily on cannabis and smoked cigarettes regularly before making lifestyle changes.

The rapper said he has since reduced his intake and stopped smoking cigarettes to improve his health. He did not provide further details on when he stopped cannabis use.

Ice Prince is known for early hits in Nigeria’s hip-hop scene and has in recent years spoken publicly about changes to his lifestyle, including fitness and diet.

His comments have generated arguments on X (formerly Twitter).

Some users questioned the accuracy of the figures, while others described the statement as exaggerated. A user wrote: “340 million
Yearly: 56.6 million
Monthly: 4.7 million
Weekly: 1.1 million
Daily: 155k
Na your skin full na why. Steady russian cream and expensive strains.”

Others focused on the reckless use of his money with one user commenting: “imagine a pastor saying he used #340 million buy food, Nigerians would have come with backlashes…”

Cannabis use remains restricted under Nigerian law, although enforcement and regulations around drug use and addiction vary across regions.

Ice Prince did not provide evidence for the figures cited, and his comments have not been independently verified.
