Former Rivers state Governor and the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has vowed not to support the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, in his political career anymore, accusing him of dishonesty.
Wike disclosed this during an interview on Channels Television
While expressing his disappointment with Governor Fubara, accusing him of spreading lies against him, the FCT Minister did not elaborate on the details of the accusations but made it clear that he would no longer throw his weight behind the current Rivers State leader.
In the same vain, Wike also made his position known ahead of the upcoming Edo State governorship election, slated for September 21.
He vowed not to support the incumbent Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Asue Ighodalo, who is being supported by Obaseki.
Wike referred to Governor Obaseki as “an ingrate” during the interview. His refusal to support Ighodalo suggests deepening divisions within the PDP ahead of the Edo State election.
