Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has insisted that it is undeniable that he won the 2023 presidential election.
Obi made the claim in an interview with media personality Rufai Oseni as monitored by The News Chronicle, arguing that his electoral performance was strong enough to establish him as more than a marginal contender.
According to him, he secured victories in 12 of Nigeria’s 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and would have expanded his tally further if results had not been altered in some states.
“They took two of my states ;Rivers and Benue. Otherwise, I would have won fourteen states. That’s why I said if they did the right thing, I won. Everybody knows that, even children know that. It has been on the INEC portal for a long time,” he said.
