Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has spoken publicly about her separation from her children and her decision to step away from marriage following the breakdown of her marriage with businessman and politician Ned Nwoko.
Daniels made the remarks during a livestream conversation with TikTok creator Jarvis Jadrolita on May 28, 2026, shortly after hosting a Children’s Day carnival in Asaba, Delta State.
During the livestream, Jarvis asked the actress when she last saw her two sons and whether she missed them.
Daniels replied: “Yes, of course, but I know I will see them soon. By God’s grace. I saw them last year.”
She added that her first son would turn six this year, while the second would turn four. Speaking about one of the boys, she said with a laugh, “My son’s teeth fell off.”
The actress also spoke about her future plans and said she no longer sees marriage as important to her life.
“I want to have six children and I have two already, two boys,” she said. “For some reason, I have checked my mind out from getting married. But I am going to have a girl and I must have a girl.”
Daniels explained that she believes daughters often remain emotionally connected to their parents later in life.
“Men will grow, get married and focus more on building family. But for women, she will always remember home,” she said.
Daniels and Nwoko married in 2019. Their relationship received public attention because of the 40-year age difference between them. They have two sons together.
Rumours of problems in the marriage became prominent in late 2025 after Regina Daniels publicly accused Ned Nwoko of manipulation, psychological control and abuse. He denied the claims, however, claiming the actress was dealing with alcohol and drug abuse and required rehabilitation.
Since leaving the marriage, the actress has repeatedly described herself as single.
The livestream interview has drawn strong reactions online. Many social media users expressed sympathy over her comments about not seeing her children since 2025, while others criticised her handling of the separation.
An X user commented: “When I heard ‘I saw them last year,’ my heart ached.”
Another user wrote: “Only a mother would understand that she tried to hold back tears while answering Jarvis.”
Not all reactions were supportive. A user wrote: “If you loved them you would have stayed back to take care of them.”
Another commenter criticised her earlier decision to marry an older man and claimed she failed to understand the consequences of the relationship.
Some users also questioned whether Daniels had restricted access to the children, although no official court details have been made public.
