Oladipupo Oladimeji, better known as Oladips, is a Nigerian rapper who has denied staging his “death” and claimed to have “almost died for real.”
Recall that on November 15, 2023, the rapper’s management team reportedly declared his death, only to later retract the statement a few days later.
Speaking about the incident, Oladips refuted ever saying that his “death” was a joke in a recent podcast interview with skit creator Isbae U.
“I have never acknowledged in a video that I’m pulling a practical joke on anyone. The manner bloggers were posting it as though it were a joke revealed that it was only a misperception. Who said it was a prank?
“Brother, I almost died. Really. “Sitting here is a blessing,” he continued.
He said, “I’m still alive now,” when questioned about his efforts to persuade Google, a well-known search engine, that he was still alive. Google will investigate. They will make the necessary corrections, just as it was simple for them to post the death.
On the other hand, the rapper claimed that his “resurrection” increased his popularity.
