I Have a Happy Life Free From Abuse —Anita Oyakhilome Breaks Silence After Split From Pastor Chris

The estranged wife of the founder of Christ Embassy, Anita Oyakhilome has shared an emotional message on healing, resilience and finding joy years after the collapse of their marriage.

In a post published on her blog, Pastor Anita reflected on overcoming painful experiences, declaring that God had brought her out of “mess” and abuse while restoring her peace and wholeness.

“I start every month thankful and for this month of December I am eternally grateful. I am worthy of love, to give and receive. I have value and self-respect. No one has the ability to oppress, suppress or depress me. I am enough and complete in God.

“My today is better than yesterday. I have come to a place of wholeness, strength and joy. God pulled me out of mess; I have a happy life free from abuse.” She revealed.

Anita stressed that no one could take the place of God, describing Him as sovereign and eternal, while reminding readers that life is transient.

According to her, every ending creates an opportunity for a new beginning.

“The end of the year brings a rebirth of another year. The death of something can be the rebirth of another thing. All is not lost,” she wrote.

Encouraging people going through difficult times, Anita urged them to remain hopeful despite life’s challenges.

“Whatever happens in your life, no matter how distressing things might seem, when darkness appears endless, watch out for that tiny spark of light. When you can muster up the courage to thank God for closed doors, in the process of counting your blessings, you find joy.”

Her remarks come after the widely publicised breakdown of her marriage to Pastor Chris.

The couple’s divorce became public in August 2014 after Anita filed a petition at a court in the United Kingdom to dissolve their more than 20-year marriage, stating through her lawyers that there was no hope of reconciliation.

Recall that during a global communion service in September 2014, Pastor Chris maintained that divorce was not supported by biblical teachings but said he would accept it if his wife remained determined to end the marriage.
