Samklef, a Nigerian music producer-turned-blogger, recently explained why he never asked singer Simi out, even though he had feelings for her when they were both struggling artists.
He almost made a move when Simi broke up with her ex-boyfriend, but decided against it to keep his personal life separate from his work.
Samklef shared this on Sunday, saying, “I love Simi. I almost asked her out when she broke up with her ex, Lekan. But I wanted to keep things professional, so it wouldn’t affect our business… Adekunle, please say hi to your wife for me. Life isn’t that complicated.”
He also mentioned that Simi’s family didn’t treat him well despite everything he did for her, but he’s chosen to forgive them. He wondered about her brother, who he felt was overly critical. In his words “over sabi”
Simi is now married to Adekunle Gold, and they have a daughter named Adejare.
