Kelechi Austin Miles, popularly known as Tekno, has recently reacted to speculation over his earnings from the popular song “Buga,” which he co-wrote with Kizz Daniel.

Reports say, Tekno had admitted to getting an incredible N1 billion in royalties from the song.

In an interview allegedly granted to Budget TV, Tekno reportedly disclosed that Kizz Daniel was handing him half of the money made from “Buga” each month.

According to the blog, Tekno thanked Kizz Daniel for his kindness and claimed to have collected around a billion Naira in royalties for the song.

Tekno, however, denied these assertions on his social media accounts and called the interview “fake”. He strongly refuted the accusations in a post on his X handle, claiming that the reported earnings were overstated.

The singer even went so far as to show his disbelief and contempt for the untrue claims using colorful language.

He wrote:  “Him money no reach. Anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama. #Talkingshit.”

This event highlights how often misinformation is in the entertainment sector, where rumors and inaccurate reports may spread swiftly and cause misunderstandings. It also emphasizes how crucial it is to confirm information from trustworthy sources before taking it at face value.
