American streamer Kai Cenat, during a live TikTok stream on August 17, asked Nigerian TikTok creator Jarvis why she married fellow content creator Peller.
Cenat asked Jarvis directly why she chose Peller “out of everybody.” She first gave a brief answer, saying that he is her husband and that she loves him. When Cenat pressed further, she said: “He’s sweet. He’s caring. He’s understanding and troublesome.”

Peller and Jarvis married in a white wedding on August 8 and a traditional ceremony on 1st August, following a relationship they carried out publicly on their livestreams over several years.
During the exchange, Jarvis asked Cenat to follow Peller back on social media, and Cenat agreed. The couple then invited him to visit Nigeria. Kai Cenat also asked if they had children yet. Both replied “soon” and said they are expecting a boy.
Peller had earlier said he felt overlooked during Cenat’s visit to Nigeria, claiming that people kept him away from the American streamer. He described himself as a major streamer in his own right during that comment.
When Kai Cenat later added Peller to a split-screen TikTok livestream, the session drew tens of thousands of viewers. Several social media users who watched the stream said Peller struggled to communicate fluently in English with Cenat before Jarvis joined the call. One user, writing under the handle @esther_stan, said Jarvis arrived and secured him two potential deals along with a follow-back.
Multiple viewers also noted that Peller stepped back once Jarvis joined the conversation, allowing her to speak with Cenat directly.
The clip spread widely on social media platforms including X and TikTok. Many commenters praised Jarvis for her composure and the way she used the moment to benefit her husband.
A user with the handle @lil_flower4841 wrote that Jarvis secured a collaboration and a follow-back for her husband, calling her a supportive wife. Another user, @Angelx8k, said the couple could become one of the most successful pairs to emerge from Nigeria’s streaming scene.

Not every reaction to Cenat’s question was positive. A user posting as @reggiekwartz said the question was unnecessary since the couple had already stated they were married.
Some commenters said the moment changed their view of the relationship. A user with the handle @EuroFaithy wrote that he had previously opposed the relationship but now sees that Peller made a good choice.
