Reports alleging that controversial music promoter Sam Larry died in a fatal road crash have been dismissed by one of his close associates.
An associate identified as Mr Lilgaga confirmed that Sam Larry survived the accident and is currently receiving medical treatment after being involved in a serious crash along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos, The News Chronicle gathered.
The accident reportedly claimed the life of his bouncer, identified as Wale, while videos circulating online showed the severely mangled vehicle after it crashed into a trailer.
The incident sparked widespread speculation on social media, with claims that Sam Larry had died or could lose both legs due to the severity of the crash.
However, Mr Lilgaga said he spoke with the music promoter shortly after the accident and confirmed he is alive. He added that while Sam Larry is responding to treatment, the full extent of his injuries has yet to be disclosed.
