‘He was an Exceptional Officer’, RULAAC, PSPF Mourns Former Anambra Police Spokesperson, Haruna

The Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) and the Anambra State Police Partnership Forum (PSPF) have expressed deep sadness over the demise of CSP Mohammed Haruna, former Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Anambra State.

Haruna’s death was announced by the Gombe State Police Command on July 21, 2024. although they did not state the cause of the death.

It was however gathered that the officer had a major operation and had been sick for a while before his death.

CSP Haruna was a highly respected and dedicated police officer who served in Anambra State until 2022.

During his tenure, he worked closely with RULAAC and PSPF and was recognized for his outstanding performance and commitment to professionalism and integrity.

In July 2022, PSPF presented awards to three deserving police officers, including CSP Haruna, for their exceptional service.

He received the award for Effective Public Relations and Community Engagement as PPRO Anambra State Police Command.

In a joint statement, the RULAAC and PSPF described CSP Haruna as a seasoned and dedicated police officer who was deeply committed to his duties.

They said his untimely demise has left a void in the Nigeria Police Force, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The groups expressed their heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues in the Nigeria Police Force, praying that his soul will find eternal rest in peace and his family finds comfort and solace.

“CSP Haruna was an exceptional police officer who exemplified the highest standards of professionalism and integrity,.

“His dedication to duty and his commitment to community engagement were exemplary, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

“CSP Haruna was a true partner in our efforts to promote police-citizen engagement and community policing. His demise is a loss not only to the Nigeria Police Force but also to the entire community,” Prince Chris Azor, Chairman of PSPF added.
