President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the Hausa people as great pillars of Nigeria’s unity and progress, commending their enduring contributions to the country’s development and cohesion.
In a statement on Wednesday, Tinubu said the Hausa language has flourished over the years, emerging as a major language of unity and commerce across Nigeria and the world.
The President made the remarks while congratulating the vast Hausa community on the occasion of Hausa Day, being celebrated at the historic Daura Palace in Katsina State.
“The Hausa people are great pillars that play a vital role in the unity and progress of Nigeria.
“The Hausa language, without doubt, has flourished and has become a major language of unity and commerce across the world,” Tinubu said.
He extended his warm congratulations to the Hausa community, celebrating its rich cultural heritage and enduring contribution to Nigeria’s unity and progress.
