Get Naked! God wants your Intimacy. There are a lot of covering,making it difficult for God to access you the way you are. Intimacy isn’t achieved with a lot of designer’s wears around one’ body. There must be some level of nakedness for such to happen.
No conception happens outside intimacy and intimacy can only be achieved in nakedness. The intimacy of Mary with the Holy Spirit was one achieved in the nakedness of Mary, whose heart was pure, loving with no grudges, no hate, no animosity , no pride, no backbiting, no gossip, no grandstanding etc. She was naked to the Holy Spirit, creating no inhibition and making the expression of the love of the Holy Spirit one that had an unhindered manifestation in her.
We are not naked! Always shrouded with apparels of human nature and weakness, the bane of the intimacy that one needs to overcome the very challenges of life that come in their numbers, overcoming us daily and giving one bloody noses.
Nakedness is powerful, beyond what words could explain. At the garden of Eden, nakedness was the very link that daily connected Adam and Eve to the amazing fellowship they had with the Father. Such intimacy was lost the moment they covered theirs with leaves and the access of God to them became difficult.
God is a God of nakedness. He operates in full capacity, in nakedness, releasing all that he has for mankind in their nakedness too.
The story of the birth of the biblical Samuel is one that profoundly explained the importance and relevance of nakedness. Until his mother Hannah remained clothed with grudges, selfish interests and desires the coming of Samuel was delayed. Each time God wanted to incubate her through intimacy her apparel of human weakness, anger, bitterness, envy etc formed walls, so impregnable, the move of God had to flow back.
Nothing becomes impossible at the face of nakedness. In nakedness mountains of difficulties are melted, depth of valleys are covered and ocean of worries and anxieties are dried.
When one conceives one thing and says a different thing, smiles but filled with animosity, laughs however boisterous but filled with tricks and devilish antics, when one goes about plucking of people’s feathers, spreading them around runways to be stained and dented and still play the ostrich about it, such a person isn’t naked enough to incubate the presence of godliness.
For two weeks I got into a deliberate exercise of telling the stories of fathers as a build up to this year’ s father’s day. It is one mental exercise that opened my eyes to things never imagined. Many thought I was a saint with no sin , I am not. I have my own fair share of whatever I shared , discretion however is the better part of velour.
The truth, which may be bitter is, majority of fathers are far from being naked. Nakedness isn’t our thing except in sensual intimacy.
Only in this act are fathers seen to be overly excited and keen to get naked. Outside this, their hate for nakedness is unparalleled.
For the two weeks that exercise lasted my mail box was inundated. Fathers are clothed with heavy things. Things that are weighing them down,making it difficult for a sincere nakedness before God for intimacy, incubation and manifestation of his presence.
Bro. Jarlath you are really hitting fathers real hard. I am a victim. For years I have seen myself drawn and sucked in by this. I wasn’t like this before. I was so opened ( NAKED) to my wife, by mere snap of fingers I became too secretive, may be because of the various dirty and unchristain lifestyles I got myself involved in. I live in tension, my phones a no go area, secured with very complex password.
Bros be calming down with this your bomb. I am a victim. I dont force them. It is usually a mutual consent. Once I tried a Teenager but decided to stop. Let have only the sin of adultary to deal with, adding it to molestation of a minor would be too big for me.
The above are the ones out of the many reactions/ and responses I got, the stories of many fathers caught in this terrible web of secretive lifestyles of indignity, immorality, etc. So rampant, it is gradually becoming a desirable norm with justification around it.
Nothing would save anyone from sin outside nakedness. Nakedness makes the lurking around of evil thoughts very impossible. It creates a system that sieves and elimates ungodly things . It creates an unconducive environment for the thrives of inordinate things. Nakedness is an antidote, a powerful one for that matter. If one is naked, nothing to fear, everything is bare, open and accessable. Nakedness is key. It saves one from the cost of lies upon lies to cover lies. It saves one from the stress of being overly conscious of self , less the bubbles are burst.
Happy fathers day in arrears . The celebration is done and dusted. The one thing that would define one is the things that trail one. What are those things that trail you , you wouldn’t want others to see, that which you are daily convering?
However good one is in covering, nothing remains hidden under the sun.
Stop wearing the garment of friendship with a foe mind! Be naked !
Stop blowing breeze of commradery with a heart of mocker! Be nakedness!
Stop stroking with a hand filled with warmth while your heart is filled with tricks and intrigues! Be naked!
Stop being sympathetic when the heart is filled with mockery. Be naked!
Just be naked, though bad and ugly, the nakedness of your heart would bring deliverance , succour and
healing to your soul.
Nakedness with time heals a lot and makes what is bad, good, ugly, beautiful. Nakedness makes people to see you the way you are, appreciate you or tolerate you without deception.
Better be known by who you truly are than by the deception of your hidden self. Be naked!!
My gift to you fathers and anyone that wants God’ intimacy is nakedness. Get naked! We have for long played this game of covering, hide and seek etc. With this game, intimacy becomes difficult either with men or God. Embrace nakedness, go around in nakedness, relate with people in nakedness and have peace!!
