Gunshot-Injured Wife of Late Military General Saved From Bandits’ Captivity

Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued Mrs. Abubakar, the wife of late retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, after she was abducted by armed bandits on May 30.

Military sources confirmed that she was shot during the attack and sustained injuries before troops tracked and secured her release.

She has since been given emergency medical attention and evacuated to a hospital where she is currently receiving further treatment.

The rescue operation highlights both the ongoing successes and the persistent human cost of security operations, as communities continue to face violent abductions and armed attacks in affected regions.
