According to reports, three farmers have lost their lives over a farmland dispute in Kadarko, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
It was gathered that the victims were murdered to on Saturday 23 March while they were working on a disputed farmland by an unknown gunmen.
Confirming the incident, a source in the area who preferred anonymity revealed that the incident occurred around the Railway axis of the community.
“A group of armed men invaded a disputed farmland where the three persons were working and killed them.
“The armed men killed the farmers and fled before the arrival of security operatives”. The source added.
He further disclosed that the victims were Eggon farmers of the community who had come under unceasing attacks recently over land ownership.
Meanwhile, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel, noted that he’s yet to be informed officially on the incident.
