The 2023 edition of the Elite Youths of Anam Foundation’s (EYAF) summit will be a turning point in the development plan of the Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State.

EYAF’s President, Christopher Ejike Anekwe, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on activities lined up for the meeting slated to be held at Ajandu Hall, Umueze Anam on December 2, 2023.

He stated that the summit aims to offer intellectual insights and a call to action regarding the development challenges facing the Anam and Anambra West Area.

“The theme of this summit, ‘Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation: Pathways to Success,’ is designed to examine the role of SMEs in harnessing the potentials of our youths. We will also address other issues such as ‘Human Capital Development: Breaking Socio-economic and Cultural Bounds’ and ‘Anam Transformation Plan: From Mindset to Landscape.’

The summit’s lecturers, Chief Simeon Nnakwe, Emeka Peters Obiora, and Engr Isaac Okafor, have been carefully selected based on their distinguished academic, professional, and business accomplishments in their respective fields.

Chief Simeon Nnakwe, who has a PhD in Economics from Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand, is an accomplished businessman as well as a social crusader who has campaigned vigorously for equity, justice, and fairness in Anambra West and beyond.

Emeka Obiora is also an astute banker, an entrepreneur, financial analyst, and researcher with over 16 publications. Engr. Okafor, on the other hand, is a Director and Head of Manufacturing Services Department of the Electronics Development Institute (ELDI), a subsidiary of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), an agency in the Nigerian presidency.

As you can see from above, we have panelists who will take us through this journey of reawakening in our development efforts at the summit.”

The EYAF boss further disclosed that the event will feature the presentation of the award of a full university scholarship for Medicine and Surgery to Miss Clara Amarachi Ekweoba, WAEC Scholarship for nine (9) qualified SS3 students in Anam, as well as the waiver of EYAF Micro Credit interest-free Loans for the 2023/2024 season for over 40 women.

“We are making a bold statement in Anam and Anambra West LGA with this event. And we expect to have the elites, professionals, educationists, students, youths, religious, traditional and community leaders as well as political leaders across Anam to participate in this event and give their support,” he said.
