Governor Zulum launches N140m livestock program for 140 youths in Jere, Borno

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum praised Hon. Engr. Ahmed Satomi for helping people in his area with a program worth N140 million. 

This program is about farming and agriculture and it will benefit 140 young people in Jere LGA. Zulum spoke highly of Satomi’s efforts during the launch of the program.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to use the money wisely, work hard, and invest in their businesses to create job opportunities for others in the future.

Zulum acknowledged that his schedule was busy, but he made time to attend Satomi’s program because of its importance.

He emphasized the positive impact the program could have on reducing unemployment and increasing income if managed well.

Zulum also appreciated the support from party executives, assembly members, and Satomi’s team.

The State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Bello Ayuba, advised the beneficiaries to use the financial support and livestock tools wisely.

He encouraged them to become employers themselves in the future by training and empowering others. Ayuba urged them to avoid bad behaviors and financial irresponsibility.

During his welcome address, Hon. Engr. Ahmed Satomi praised Governor Zulum for his leadership and support for agriculture, including providing security and resources for farmers and returnee IDPs.

Satomi, who is also a farmer, decided to implement this program to build on Zulum’s achievements and expand agricultural activities in his constituency.

Satomi promised to focus on agriculture in his constituency, which has fertile farmlands. He appealed to the state government to reactivate a canal from Jere to Mafa for the dry season.

The federal lawmaker encouraged the beneficiaries to invest wisely in livestock and involve others in the future.

Hon. Abba Abba Kyari Kolo, a member of the State House of Assembly, thanked Governor Zulum for his support and Hon. Ahmed Satomi for his help in the agricultural sector.

Two agricultural experts from the University of Maiduguri provided advice on livestock breeding and nutrition during the event.

The program included giving cash and cheques to individual and group beneficiaries, as well as presentations and photographs.
