Governor Uba Sani Presents CNG Buses to NMA, NBA, NUJ, NCS, KASU in Kaduna

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has presented Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered buses to five key institutions in the state as part of efforts to strengthen their operational capacity and improve service delivery.

The beneficiaries are the Kaduna chapters and branches of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), and Kaduna State University (KASU).

Sani made this known in a statement dated September 1, 2026, describing the beneficiary institutions as critical pillars of society whose contributions span healthcare, justice, journalism, education and corrections.

He commended the leadership and members of the organisations for their professionalism, dedication and commitment to public service.

According to the governor, the provision of the operational vehicles is aimed at improving mobility and institutional efficiency while enabling the organisations to discharge their responsibilities more effectively.

He said the initiative also reflected his administration’s commitment to strengthening governance through constructive partnerships with institutions that play important roles in the lives of citizens.

The governor noted that the leadership of the beneficiary organisations had expressed appreciation for the gesture and the enabling environment created by his administration.

He said their commendation reinforced the administration’s belief that government performs better when it listens, collaborates and builds lasting relationships with institutions across society.

Sani pledged that his administration would continue to deepen such partnerships and support institutions whose activities contribute to the welfare, stability and development of Kaduna State.

He said the ultimate objective was to build a Kaduna where institutions are strengthened, professionals are empowered and citizens have greater opportunities to thrive.

The governor’s latest intervention adds to his administration’s efforts to promote the adoption of CNG-powered transportation as part of broader measures to improve mobility and reduce operational costs amid evolving energy and transportation realities.
