Governor Radda Appoints Hadi Sirika as Chairman of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Council

Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has appointed former Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, as the new Chairman of the Governing Council of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina.

According to the state government, the appointment is part of efforts to strengthen the management and administrative capacity of the state-owned institution.

Senator Sirika, who previously served as Minister of Aviation under former President Muhammadu Buhari, also represented Katsina North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

Governor Radda said he is confident that Sirika’s vast experience in public service and administration will help drive further growth and development at the university.

The appointment has been well-received across the state, with many describing it as a well-deserved recognition of Sirika’s contributions to education and national development.
