Governor Namadi Distributes Memory Devices to 291 Data Storage Officers in Jigawa State

The Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi has participated in distributing memory devices to 291 data storage officers from small inpatient hospitals across the State, on Friday.

This initiative is part of the ongoing modernization efforts under the World Bank’s IMPACT program, which aims to enhance healthcare delivery at the primary level.

The IMPACT program is focused on improving smaller hospitals in key areas such as access to clean water, solar electricity, support for pregnant women, construction of midwives’ residences, and the provision of comprehensive training for healthcare workers.

It also prioritizes the prevention and treatment of diseases, as well as addressing maternal mortality issues.

The distribution of computers and memory devices to healthcare workers is part of the state’s efforts to modernize patient information management.

This technological upgrade is crucial for accurate record-keeping, tracking doctors’ work, managing healthcare workers’ information, and ensuring proper communication across the health sector.

Governor Namadi emphasized the tremendous strides made by the Jigawa State government in improving healthcare services across the state.

Several key projects have been launched, which include the provision of free laundry services at hospitals in Hadejia, Ringim, Gumel, Kazaure, and Dutse.

Furthermore, contracts have been awarded for the construction of new large inpatient hospitals in Ringim and Kafin Hausa.

He said, In a bid to strengthen healthcare delivery, the state has employed more than 1,000 new health workers. These workers are being deployed to various health facilities to boost service provision.
