Gov Zulum allocates N55.9 mn to support 158 students from Borno

Babagana Zulum, the Governor of Borno State, has authorized the allocation of a substantial sum, specifically amounting to N 55.9 million, towards the disbursement of scholarship allowances.

This significant decision underscores the commitment of the governor to supporting educational endeavors within the state, as it reflects a dedicated effort to facilitate financial assistance for scholars and students.

The allocation of such funds is expected to positively impact the academic pursuits of individuals, fostering an environment conducive to learning and educational advancement across Borno State.

This financial support is intended for 158 indigenous students who are pursuing various courses at the Federal University of Health Sciences in Azare, Bauchi.

The announcement was made today by Malam Bala Isa, the Executive Secretary of the Borno State Scholarship Board.

He addressed journalists at the board conference hall in Maiduguri, sharing the positive news of the scholarship allocations.

During the briefing, Malam Bala extended a message of goodwill on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Higher Education Innovation, Hon. Engr. Wakilbe.

The Commissioner encouraged the students to serve as exemplary ambassadors for the state and emphasized the importance of focusing on their studies to excel academically.

In expressing gratitude, Malam Bala, representing the board’s staff, conveyed thanks to Governor Zulum for his unwavering support.
