Gov Sani Commissions Road Projects in Jaba, Says Promise to Residents Fulfilled

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has commissioned five township roads in Kwoi, the headquarters of Jaba Local Government Area, saying the projects fulfil a promise he made to residents to improve road infrastructure in the area.

Speaking during the inauguration, Sani recalled assuring the people at the groundbreaking ceremony in September 2025 that the projects would not end up as another unfulfilled government promise.

“By the grace of God and through the dedication of our team, we have returned to redeem that pledge,” the governor said.

The projects commissioned include Audu Tilo Road, Sabon Gari Road, Doctor Sani Road, Hospital Road, Kpop Ham Palace Road and the Kwoi-Gora Road.

Sani noted that Jaba Local Government Area had not witnessed the completion of a kilometre of road in more than two decades before his administration.

He described the prolonged neglect as inconsistent with the principles of fairness, equity and justice, stressing that his administration is committed to ensuring balanced development across Kaduna State.

According to him, the government is expanding infrastructure across all 23 local government areas to promote inclusive growth and equitable access to development.

The governor disclosed that his administration has initiated 150 road projects covering more than 1,355 kilometres, with the majority already completed.

He said the projects represent not only physical infrastructure but also the government’s commitment to inclusive governance and equitable public investment.

“Our administration believes that access to development should not be determined by geography, politics or identity, but by fairness and equity,” he said.

Sani described the Kwoi township roads and the Kwoi-Gora Road as strategic investments that would improve transportation, access to healthcare and education, and stimulate commercial activities in the area.

He added that the roads would facilitate the movement of farmers and traders, boost economic activities and improve livelihoods in Jaba Local Government Area.

The governor recalled that the Kwoi-Gora Road had previously become almost impassable, particularly during the rainy season, due to erosion and poor conditions.

He expressed confidence that the reconstructed road would enhance emergency response, improve the transportation of agricultural produce, strengthen connectivity and attract investment to the area.
