The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, has officially received his All Progressives Congress (APC) membership card.
The card was presented to the Governor by the Chairman of the APC Hospital Ward, Wukari Local Government Area, Hon. Umaru Tanko, at the TY Danjuma House, Jalingo.
Receiving the membership card in his office, Governor Kefas said his registration into the APC has formally validated his identity as a party member, enabling him to participate fully in all party activities.
He added that the earlier postponed official defection ceremony would be rescheduled and held in the near future.
While presenting the card, the APC Hospital Ward Chairman, Hon. Umaru Tanko, described the Governor as a bonafide member of the party and expressed the party’s delight in officially welcoming him.
Also speaking, the State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Barrister Zainab Usman Jalingo, said the Governor is now a full APC member in Taraba State.
The ceremony was attended by members of the APC State Working Committee, led by the State Secretary, Hon. Fidelis Francis.
With the Governor’s registration into the APC, he is now eligible to participate in all party activities, having assumed leadership of the party in the state.
