Gov Ishaku condoles family of late Commissioner

Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, has condoled with the chairman, the people of Wukari Local Government Council and the family of the State Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation, Comrade Naphtali Kefas who died on Thursday in Jalingo after a brief illness.

In a press statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu regretted that the death of Naphtali Kefas came “less than a year of his appointment as member of the state Executive Council” and “has robbed the state of the services of a patriotic and hard-working gentleman”.

According to the statement the governor “described the late commissioner as very gentle and compassionate, the reason for his posting to the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation to help implement government’s pragmatic programme of giving hope and succour to the poor and the needy”.

“Ishaku prayed God to give the people of Wukari LGA and members of the immediate family of the late commissioner the fortitude to bear this loss.

“Gov Ishaku also prayed for the repose of the soul of Naphtali Kefas”, the statement ended.
