Google Warns Indian App Developers Over Play Store Policy Violations

—

Tech giant, Google has issued warnings to 10 app developers in India for not following Play Store rules.
The company has not revealed the names of these developers.
The Supreme Court, on February 9, agreed to listen to complaints against Google’s billing policies.
However, no temporary order was given to safeguard startups from being removed from the Play Store.
Google had given developers more than three years to prepare for these changes.
After the Supreme Court’s decision, Google is now taking steps to consistently enforce its policies, which could result in the removal of non-compliant apps from the Play Store.
Developers are being guided to resubmit their apps with three billing options, detailed in Google’s blog.
Additionally, developers have alternatives to distribute their apps on Android, such as using alternative app stores or distributing directly through websites.
Google assured that existing users will not face disruptions in accessing apps and promised ongoing support to developers to comply with the policies.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to investing in India’s digital future and maintaining high-tech standards.
