The Google app on Android has rolled out a new ‘Share’ button feature for search results.
This will transform the way users interact with content.
Now, users can effortlessly share links directly from search results without the need to open the page first.
The introduction of this feature aims to streamline the sharing process, enhancing user convenience and efficiency.
The ‘Share’ button is strategically placed above the ‘About this result’ section, easily accessible by tapping on the three-dot button adjacent to the search result.
Upon clicking, users are greeted with the familiar Android system share sheet, presenting options to copy the link, share it with others, or send it to a preferred app.
However, certain search results may not feature the share button, particularly those redirecting to apps on the Google Play Store.
Nonetheless, this innovation marks a significant step forward in user experience and accessibility.
Desktop users also enjoy varied options for sharing links, including the traditional right-click method. This ensures a seamless sharing experience across different platforms and devices.
This latest update follows a series of enhancements introduced by the Google app on Android, including features like Notes and Search with Generative AI, introduced last year.
