Galatasaray Confirms the Signing of Victor Osimhen from Napoli

—

Turkish champions Galatasaray have confirmed the signing of Nigerian talisman Victor Osimhen on a season-long loan from Napoli, with no fee paid.

“Galatasaray reported to the Public Disclosure Platform that an agreement was reached for the temporary transfer of professional football player Victor James Osimhen without a fee.”

The following statement was made regarding the matter:
“An agreement has been reached with professional footballer Victor James Osimhen and his club SSC Napoli SPA for the temporary transfer of the player free of charge.”
“The football player will be paid a net seasonal salary of 6,000,000 euros for the 2024-2025 season.”
The News Chronicle had reported that Osimhen’s proposed permanent moves to PSG, Al Ahli, and Chelsea failed, a situation that made him consider joining the Turkish side on loan with no obligation to buy.
Osimhen, who has persuaded Napoli to reduce his buyout clause, will return to Napoli at the end of the current season in June 2025.
He is now expected to join the rest of the Super Eagles players, who are currently camping in Uyo, Nigeria, ahead of their 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic on September 7th and Rwanda on September 10th.
