Fulani Group Urges Defence Minister to Use Peaceful Approaches to Tackle Insecurity

The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN), a Fulani socio-cultural group, has called on the newly appointed Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), to adopt peaceful, non-violent methods in addressing insecurity across the country.

In a statement released in Damaturu on Thursday, the group’s National President, Khalil Mohammed Bello, urged the minister to apply his wide military experience not just in warfare but also in peacebuilding to help restore peace, trust, and unity before October 2026.

Bello stressed that security is a shared responsibility and appealed to security agencies, traditional leaders, politicians, and citizens to fully support the minister’s efforts.

He added that KACRAN is ready to offer any necessary assistance to promote peaceful coexistence nationwide.
