Two fresh human skulls, two military AK47 rifles and two magazines were yesterday discovered at a hotel in Onitsha, Anambra State. The hotel, Upper Class Hotel, a three storey structure at 8 Old Market Road, Onitsha is located in the popular at the bank of the River Niger on the popular Ose Okwodu market.
Eleven suspects, including the owner of the hotel, Mr. Bonaventure Mokwe, from Umuchu, were arrested. The hotel has since been demolished under the personal supervision of Governor Peter Obi, who said the demolition was in line with the policy of his administration to sustain the fight against crime and criminality in the state.
Many who spoke to our correspondent claimed the hotel has always been suspected as a beehive of criminal activity.
