Chelsea has appointed former Super Eagles midfielder Seyi Olofinjana and Achirou Goah to their scouting team.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the two African football legends will be responsible for scouting talents across Africa.
“Understand Chelsea have appointed Achirou Gaoh and Seyi Olofinjana to oversee operations in Africa. Chelsea want to cover Africa in the best way possible with scouting and appointments are now completed.”
Seyi Olofinjana, 40, began his career with Crown FC in Ogun State. He played for Kwara United from 1999 to 2003 before securing a deal with Norwegian club Sportsklubben Brann.
After a year, he transferred to Wolves, where he made most of his career appearances. Before retiring, he also played for Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday, and Start FC.
With the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Olofinjana earned 48 caps over 11 years and was part of the team that won the 2010 AFCON bronze medal.
