Former Chinese Prime Minister Dies

Former Chinese Prime Minister, Li Keqiang, has died at the age of 68.

He died after a sudden heart attack in Shanghai on the early hours of Friday.
Despite immediate efforts to resuscitate him, his life could not be saved.
Li Keqiang, who had served as China’s Prime Minister for a decade under President Xi Jinping, tendered his resignation in March.
Born on July 1, 1955, in Dingyuan, Anhui province, he overcame many challenges during his life, including being sent to the countryside during the Cultural Revolution.
Notably, Li Keqiang managed to secure admission to Peking University, where he studied law and eventually earned a doctorate in economics.
In recent years, there had been persistent rumors about Li Keqiang’s health, and he was eventually replaced by Li Qiang in March, effectively sidelining him from the political arena.
