Fleeing Suspected Kidnappers Kill Two In Nasarawa 

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers fleeing from police invasion have killed two residents of Wulko, a community in Nassarawa Eggon LGA of Nasarawa State.

It was gathered that the kidnappers were fleeing from their hideout in a neighbouring forest following police operations.

An eyewitness, reported that the incident happened on Thursday night, December 28 2023.

While revealing the names of the dead victims as Ango Habakkuk popularly known as Ango Gentle, a technician and Ewuga Williams, the eyewitness stated that the deceased were both residents of the same community.

It would be recalled that a local farmer had uncovered a hideout where the gunmen abduct and keep their victims for ransom.

The farmer, a woman thereafter alarmed the police who in joint effort with men of the local Vigilante stormed the hideout around Ogba village.

On sighting operatives of the Nigeria Police, the gunmen took to their heels, leaving behind a hostage, a Lecturer with the Nasarawa State University, Keffi(NSUK), Mr, Isaac Igbawua.

In a statement issued by the Spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Police Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel also confirmed the rescue of the Lecturer who was kidnapped at his residence on Wednesday at the Old Barracks, Kokona LGA of the State.

The statement reads in part; “The victim was rescued unhurt and reunited with his family after undergoing a medical examination at the Police Clinic, Lafia”.
