FIFA Int’l Friendly: Mali triumph over the Super Eagles of Nigeria

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were beaten last night by Mali during their second FIFA International Friendly game held in Stade de Marrakech, Morocco.

Mali commanded a decisive full-time victory thanks to an early goal from B. Tour and a late strike from K. Doumbia. Despite earning the most possession of 59% against Mali who managed 41%, Nigeria didn’t register a single shot on goal the entire minutes of play.

The victory was Mali’s first since 2014 when they last beat the Nigerian home base team in the AFCON qualifiers.
