Nollywood actor and producer Femi Adebayo has announced that “Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors” will stream on Netflix on 4 December 2026.
Adebayo posted the release date on his Instagram and X pages on 11 October. The caption began: “Some men are made by war.” The film will premiere only on Netflix.
On 13 October, he said the film is finished and that the project took “two years of relentless work”. He thanked God for the result.

The sequel follows “Jagun Jagun: The Warrior,” which Netflix released on 10 August 2023. The film tells the story of Gbotija, a young man who joins the army of the warlord Ogundiji. Adebayo produced it, and Tope Adebayo Salami and Adebayo Tijani directed it.
The first film reached the Top 10 in 18 countries within 48 hours. By 15 August 2023, it had 2.1 million viewing hours and ranked fifth on Netflix’s global chart for non-English films. At the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, it won Best Indigenous Language Movie (West Africa) and Best Costume Design.
The first film starred Lateef Adedimeji, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Yekini, Bukunmi Oluwasina, Bimbo Ademoye, Fathia Balogun, Muyiwa Ademola, Adebayo Salami and Mr Macaroni. Adebayo has not announced the sequel’s cast or plot.
Fans welcomed the news on X. A fan, Sojiboi, wrote on 11 October: “I was about to sue you to court for not releasing Jagun Jagun 2, but it’s fine now.” Another fan, Yehmaren, wrote: “Baba want to scatter December everywhere.”

Some fans praised Adebayo’s career, with one fan writing that he had given viewers more films after his father’s work, and added: “I believe you still have loads to offer.”
Many asked whether Netflix will release the film worldwide or only in Nigeria. Viewers in the United Kingdom said they could not watch earlier Nollywood titles on their local Netflix.
The announcement comes days after Femi Adebayo opened Euphoria360 Hub, a media and cinema complex in Lagos where the sequel was reportedly shot.
