Federal lawmaker, Honourable Satomi Ahmed, has paid a courtesy visit to the Borno State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp, where Batch A (2026) corps members are currently undergoing their orientation programme.
During the visit on Saturday, Honourable Ahmed interacted extensively with the corps members, urging them to uphold the values of discipline, unity, patriotism and selfless service to the nation.

He encouraged them to see the NYSC scheme as a vital platform for contributing meaningfully to national development while fostering lasting bonds across different cultures and regions of the country.
In a show of support for their welfare and morale, the lawmaker donated the sum of N5 million to the corps members as a token of encouragement and solidarity.
In a further humanitarian gesture, Honourable Ahmed also sponsored five young children who were seen roaming around the camp and participating in the parade.

He committed to providing full educational sponsorship for the children, covering their education from primary through tertiary level.
The gesture was met with appreciation from NYSC officials and corps members, who commended the lawmaker for his commitment to youth empowerment, education and national unity.
